The Hope Center administers a number of shared resources and facilities to encourage translation of basic science discoveries into therapies for brain diseases. Core facilities provide access to specialized equipment, expertise, and support which are often not available to individual investigators or laboratories. Three research facilities were initiated as Hope Center cores when the Hope Center was established in 2004. In October 2006 Washington University received a major NIH grant to create the Neuroscience Blueprint Core (NBC) , which includes additional shared resources for interdisciplinary research in nervous system diseases. Hope Center and Neuroscience Blueprint Core facilities are available to the Washington University Neuroscience community. Investigators who utilize these resources are expected to make the appropriate acknowledgements (Hope Center and/or Neuroscience Blueprint Core) in their presentations and publications. |
