Core Access and Guidelines PDF Print E-mail

Hope Center and Neuroscience Blueprint Core (NBC) facilities are available to all neuroscience investigators at Washington University. In many cases, core services can be provided at substantially discounted prices.

Depending on resources and availability, core facilities may also be available to other investigators at Washington University and to other non-profit or for-profit research institutions. Please contact the core directors to inquire about pricing, availability, and priorities.

Improving and optimizing access to core facilities is an important goal for the Hope Center. Please contact us directly if you have any questions or concerns: This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .

Core Usage Guidelines

  • Please acknowledge the source of support in ALL publications which include data generated in NBC and/or Hope Center facilities. The following suggested language is appropriate for NBC facilities: "This work was supported by NIH Neuroscience Blueprint Core Grant P30 NS057105 to Washington University." Several cores have additional funding sources which are listed on their web pages. These acknowledgements are crucial for the continued funding of our core facilities. Publication citations of funding sources are now readily tracked in PubMed.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure appropriate regulatory compliance required for core use. For example, you must secure necessary IRB or vertebrate animal studies approval if your core work requires this. Core staff are available to assist you in understanding and complying with Washington University regulations.
  • By using core facilities of the Hope Center and/or NBC, you agree to comply with current NIH policies for data and resource sharing. This requirement applies even if your research is not directly funded by the NIH.
