Innovation Acceleration Partnership (IAP) - Fellowships Program [Continuous] PDF Print E-mail

Washington University in Saint Louis, in conjunction with the University of Missouri, the Center for Emerging Technologies, and Innovate Saint Louis, is inviting applications for the National Science Foundation funded Innovation Fellows. Individuals with an advanced degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in the engineering, life sciences, nanotechnology, biomedical or medical fields, who have an interest in expanding their understanding of technology transfer and commercialization are sought. These fellowships are ideal for scientists and engineers who wish to immerse themselves in commercialization, industry partnerships, and entrepreneurship. Fellowships are one year in duration and include a competitive stipend and benefits.

Fellows will benefit from an intensive training course on innovation and entrepreneurship, be assigned mentors, and work with the Offices of Technology Management and faculty at Washington University and at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Fellows will interface with researchers to:

  • Identify promising ideas and opportunities
  • Work with venture capital groups and other types investors
  • Learn about the legal issues associated with patents, licensing, and new company formation
  • Have access to a broad cross section of support from Missouri’s nationally recognized
    Life and Plant Science Coalition
