The NIH National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) invites proposals for the Shared Instrumentation Grant (SIG) Program (formal announcement below). We strongly encourage consideration of this mechanism for accruing needed major equipment ($100 - $500K).  Applications are considered only once a year. Internal deadline: February 4, 2008.

The Hope Center can assist in preparation of SIG grants likely to serve Hope Center investigators. We can help identify a user group, we have a number of cores and core procedures which could be useful for SIG administration, and we can assist with grant assembly and standard text.
